Friday Five – 8/7/15

Friday Five – 8/7/15
I can’t believe we are already through with the first week of August! Where does the time go? I’ve been out sick for the past two days, and haven’t been able to accomplish my daily to-do’s. All that it’s shown me is I have to get better at organizing myself when it comes to blogging. I installed this WP Editorial calendar in an effort to map out my month better, but it’s just not working for me. Maybe a good old desktop calendar (on an actual desk!) is what I need? Hmm.

As someone who is relatively new to the realm of freelancing, WeWork’s Creator magazine is such a helpful resource. I just started getting into podcasts – for me, they’re a great way learn something new when I’m tired of looking at a computer screen all day. My favorite from the list has to be the “The Startup Chat”, hosted by entrepreneurs Steli Efti and Hiten Shah. Their dynamic is great – you definitely don’t feel the twenty minutes go by!

I’ve been wanting to take a drawing class for a while, and stumbled upon Lisa Cogdon class for Creative Bug, which I absolutely love. I’m challenging myself to practice line drawing for an hour every day, but I’ve been slacking. Sigh. What’s new?!

I made this for dinner tonight and it is delicious. I added sliced carrots too for an extra crunch, and it was so worth it!
