Friday Five 01/15/16

So, I start German classes this weekend and I am really looking forward to it. I’ve wanted to learn a new language for quite a while, but I realized that I’m just not cut out for self-learning. I’ve tried countless times before where I would start and keep it up for a week or two, and then life would happen. This way I go to a physical class, ask a real human questions, and I’m more accountable since I paid for it.

On to this week’s Friday Five!

Write in 2016

I read this the other day, and nodded along, but STILL have not taken the author’s advice. Ugh, I need to start writing daily – how do you get yourself to be accountable? It’s so hard and sometimes I don’t feel like putting pen to paper (more often than not). Attempting to start this weekend…wish me luck!

Travel Writing Roundup November 2015

So glad someone posted this on a Facebook group I belong to. I want to start writing for publications, and this is a great list for any travel blogger/writer looking to diversify their portfolio. I think this is the motivation I need to start writing every day!

How To Increase Blog Traffic Using Pinterest

Another handy guide to building blog traffic – it’s been helpful so far. I’m spending this weekend creating Pinterest images for all our posts, and then pinning away.

10 Things Americans Get Wrong About America

American people on average work more hours with less vacation, spend more time commuting every day, and are saddled with over $10,000 of debt.

19 Food Trucks You Need To Visit In India

Nom nom, food. There are three that I can’t wait to try out (all in Bangalore). I miss DC’s food truck scene…especially all the Ethiopian food. Googling recipes to make my own Ethiopian meal, I wonder if I can make injera myself. Hmmm.
